Eric Trump on Friday voiced strong confidence that Bitcoin will eventually reach a $1 million valuation, speaking at the Bitcoin Asia 2025 conference in Hong Kong — the first stop in a series of Asian crypto events featuring the Trump family.

Sharing insights on his deep involvement in digital assets, Eric Trump said, “I truly believe Bitcoin will hit a million dollars in the coming years. There’s absolutely no doubt.” He noted that nearly 90% of his time is now dedicated to the crypto industry.

During his panel discussion, he also praised Simon Gerovich, CEO of Japanese Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet, where Eric recently joined the board of advisors.

Bitcoin has climbed roughly 86% over the past year, fueled by optimism surrounding President Trump’s return to office and a friendlier U.S. regulatory stance toward cryptocurrencies. Still, the crypto sector remains volatile, with a history of major crashes and scandals.

The Trump brothers, Eric and Donald Jr., co-founded American Bitcoin — a mining venture — and also help oversee World Liberty Financial, a Trump family–backed digital asset project. Their latest push focuses on Asia. Following the Hong Kong event, Eric Trump is expected to visit Japan for Metaplanet’s shareholder meeting. In September, both brothers will headline a major crypto conference in South Korea and appear as keynote speakers at Singapore’s Token 2049, one of the world’s largest blockchain gatherings.

Once skeptical, President Donald Trump has now embraced digital assets, even calling himself the first “crypto president.” The administration has advanced several crypto-friendly policies and appointed industry advocates like David Sacks as the White House’s AI and crypto czar.

Trump has also ventured into blockchain businesses, including World Liberty Financial and the $TRUMP meme coin, drawing criticism from opponents who allege conflicts of interest and call for ethics probes.

With the president and his sons pushing aggressively into crypto, investors and policymakers will be watching closely how the Trump family’s growing digital asset influence is received during their Asia tour.
